The report choices in December’s poll are: Count of Service Account Names OR List of PCs by Sound Device Status.
a) The Count of Service Account Names report will display the total number of all accounts used to run a service. This report is useful prior to deleting a service account or changing its password because you can proactively see how many services use a particular account before making any updates.
In the full-feature set, this report drills through to List of Services by Service Account Name, which in turn drills through to Computer Service Details.
b) The List of PCs by Sound Device Status report returns a list of PCs by sound device status. Many companies use softphones (Voice Over Internet Protocol – VOIP), so they rely on PC sound systems to function correctly. This report will help determine which computer sound systems need to be investigated.
In the full-feature set, this report drills through to Computer Sound Card Details.
All of our reports have the Role-Based Administration (RBA) feature enabled. This means that if you are using System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager, these reports will work with all RBA clients. Don’t worry if you are not using SCCM 2012 R2 because you can still run these reports as usual.
