Using Microsoft Baseline Configuration Analyzer 2.0
By Garth Jones
This blog post is the last in my series on how to install and use Microsoft Baseline Configuration Analyzer 2.0.
In this blog post I will show you how to use this tool and the results that you should expect to see.
Start by launching Microsoft Baseline Configuration Analyzer 2.0.
Select System Center 2012 SP1 – Configuration Analyzer from the drop down box.
Click Start Scan.
Enter in the server name (in my case it is cm12-cm4) and then click Start Scan.
Wait for the scan to complete.
When it finishes you should see a report similar to the one above. Thankfully, in my lab there are no non-compliant settings.
Click the All tab, and then expand the Compliant node in order to see all of the results.
Using this tool is useful when you want to validate that SQL is setup correctly for CM12 prior to installing SCCM SP1 or SCCM R2.
