Annual Gaelic Glen Horse Show

Enhansoft has proudly sponsored the annual Gaelic Glen Silver/Bronze Horse Show for 10 years in a row. This year’s event took place on May 26 and May 27, and it was all about, “pony power!” The largest number of competitors were in the pony divisions which showcase up-and-coming riders. Pictured below is one of our local coaches with her menagerie of pony kids showing off their winnings.

Despite the forecast of rain and thunderstorms, 135 riders and their mounts, trainers, parents and cheering squads showed up for the weekend. At the end of the event they were all smiling when the predicted weather never materialized and the sun was shining!

Eastern Zone

The show this year was the second in a series in which horses, ponies and their riders compete to earn a highly coveted spot to represent the Eastern Zone at the Provincial Finals held every year in Toronto. There are seven zones in Ontario that each run a series of these shows sending 7 horse/rider combinations from each division to the finals. The finals are at the same venue that held the equestrian events for the 2015 Pan American games, Caledon Equestrian Park. For the last couple of years, these finals have been the biggest show held in Canada annually. And proudly, the Eastern Zone is the defending champions!

Gaelic Glen

Over the years, competitors who have competed at Gaelic Glen have gone on to compete all over the world. Including the Olympic Games, Pan American Games, the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida, the United States Equestrian Federations Equitation Finals, as well as, the Pony Finals held in Kentucky each August.
Gaelic Glen Stables is a privately-owned stable based in Oxford Mills, ON, Canada. It has run Provincial-level shows since 2000. The shows started as a collaboration between founder Carol Durie and her daughter Suzanne. The tradition now continues after Carol’s passing with Suzanne and her daughter Caitlyn (pictured on the middle pony).
Congrats to all the competitors, the staff of Gaelic Glen and last, but not least, Enhansoft for their ongoing support!
