Through a series of processes, WIR determines the warranty information for each PC that it is executed on. This information is then returned to ConfigMgr / SCCM / SMS so that Web Reports can be generated.

In many businesses Informatics has been asked to track the life cycle of each asset on the network. With current tools available on the market there is no efficient way to easily determine the Warranty expiry date on any PC / Server. Warranty Information Reporting (WIR) with either Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (ConfigMgr / SCCM) or Microsoft System Management Server 2003 (SMS 2003) was created to fill that void.
